Typical Equipment
Projection
Ultra-bright fixed installation LCD projectors designed for hire at events or high-end installations. Ideal for lecture theatres, auditoriums, concert halls and conference rooms.
Data and video inputs
You may want to project from a video player as well as a computer, or have both connected and interchange between the two. If this is the case, check how many data and video inputs the projector has.
Audio Support (Speakers)
If you're likely to be projecting multimedia with sound, you can either connect your projector to an amplifier, or if this is too much bother you can use the internal speakers. 1 watt mono is about standard for most projectors. It may not sound like much, but it's enough for a room of 20 or 30 people if the only audio is speech. If you want something with a bit more impact, either look for a projector with a 2.5 - 3 watt speaker, or consider an amplifier option.
Screens (Plasma, LCD)
Plasma display size range from 32 inches up to 60 inches, while the largest LCD display is 42 inches, plasma displays are slightly thicker, three inches vs. two inches, and are much heavier than their LCD counterparts. Their plasma substrates are also much more fragile than LCD panels. Hence, installing and shipping plasma displays is more difficult and more costly.
